Lyrics and text is turned off by default

PlayScore can recognise text such as

  • Lyrics and other text in the score (for MusicXML export)

  • Multi-measure rests

  • D.S, D.C, Coda, fine etc

For all these features PlayScore needs Optical Character Recognition (OCR), the ability to read words and numbers.  When you first install PlayScore OCR is turned off.  To turn OCR on, tap the cogwheel and enable Lyrics and text.

Lyrics and text is a subscription-only feature

Auto-transpose is turned off by default

If your score contains a mixture of transposing instruments, or a mixture of transposing instruments and non-transposing you should turn on Auto-transpose in SettingsCog
