PlayScore normally plays music at the standard pitch of 440 Hz for the note A4. However it is sometimes necessary to change the pitch, for example:
- So that PlayScore can play with an instrument tuned to a pitch other than A=440
- To play at lower pitches often used in early music
PlayScore can adjust the pitch by about a tone in either direction from A=440. On the Staves screen [add icon] the pitch control is located at the bottom. The current pitch is shown. To change it, tap the Custom button.
You can select from the three most common pitches used in music, or set the slider to any pitch between 380 and 466 Hz.
