In PlayScore you work with PlayScore Documents.  The thumbnails you see on the Documents screen each represent a PlayScore document.  To play the music in a document just tap the thumbnail.

PlayScore comes with some example documents.  You create a new document whenever you take a photo, or a series of photos, or open a PDF.

A PlayScore Document is a little like a PDF, except specialised for music.  If you share a PlayScore Document with someone else, they will see exactly what you see, and hear the music just as you do.

Any version of PlayScore, on any device can play any Document.  You don’t need a subscription to play documents.  If you want to create new multi-page documents or create a PlayScore document for a PDF score you will need a subscription.

Document storage

Your PlayScore Documents are stored on your device only.  Documents never leave your device unless you explicitly share them, and there is no central server.   We never see your Documents and all processing takes place on your device.

You can always backup your documents using services like Google Drive, Dropbox and iCloud.  Just go to Export and share as Document.
